Who
are we?
Silver Buckle
Services was founded by Melissa Berschens in 2000,
initially a web design service offering web site development to
clients. In 2001 partnering with Kasha Ford to expand
the businesses breadth of services.
Today, Silver Buckle Services has developed into a
successful full service equine marketing enterprise providing
equine business consulting for both print and web to a variety
of businesses, organizations, horse owners, breeders, trainers
and other equine professionals. |

Melissa Berschens
Melissa Berschens manages
the web services, including creative/design, development and
programming, in addition to client relations. Melissa
Berschens earned a BS in Environmental Studies from San
Jose State University. Along with this degree, Melissa has
a technical background in programming and web development,
Flash, Javascript, Photoshop and HTML. Melissa's specialty
is website redesigns and website usability which, involves the
practice of putting yourself in the user's shoes to design the
best website possible for your website users. Melissa enjoys
trail riding in the Sierra foothills with her friends, Team Penning with her
Paint horse D'Impressive Surprise. She also as a (DSW) Disaster
Service Worker, with SCLAR a local large animal fire rescue
effort. Melissa is involved in many horse
activities besides showing, she was the secretary for Seven
Counties Paint Horse Club for 5 years, she currently volunteers
her time at Ride And Shine
as and ThisCares and was in 4-H for many years as a child. |

Kasha Ford
Kasha Ford manages much of the creative and
business consulting elements. Kasha is responsible for
printed products and oversees our logo, ad, brochure and
business card design services. Kasha
Ford earned a BS in Business, with a concentration in
Marketing from San Jose State University. Kasha also
attended Cal Poly SLO, and completed coursework in Animal Science
and Agra-Business. A creative individual and
lifelong art enthusiast, Kasha has completed various art &
design courses throughout her life. Kasha has over a
decade of professional marketing and sales experience as part of
the marketing communications team for Trimble Navigation and
later heading up Corporate Marketing & Sales for Echo
Engineering & Production Supply. To keep her finger on the
pulse of advertising in the equestrian industry, Kasha works
with a key southwestern publication. |

Buckle's principals have over ten years experience in
web design and traditional print marketing and are much
